SCV Emergency Care Clinical Network Insight Subcommittee

Two consumers are sought to participate in the Insight Subcommittee to improve the quality and safety of care provided in Victorian emergency care settings.

Safer Care Victoria

Emergency Care Clinical Network

Safer Care Victoria is seeking two consumers for their Insight Subcommittee.

Purpose

The emergency care clinical network works with clinicians and consumers to improve the quality and safety of care provided in Victorian emergency care settings including ambulance, emergency departments and urgent care centres.

The insight subcommittee identifies and interprets clinical data and evidence to identify areas for improvement and inform the work of the network.  The insight group also sets and monitors quality and safety indicators for Victorian emergency care.

Role of the Consumer

We would like consumers to interpret and respond to clinical data that informs the emergency care sector to help ensure it can be used as a tool to inform quality work and drive meaningful change.  We want the consumer voice to provide input into all decisions that are made in the subcommittee.

Consumers will participate in discussions and decisions about emergency services data and how it is utilised to inform care across the state.  Consumers will attend the Insight subcommittee meetings bimonthly where they will be encouraged to participate in discussion from a consumer perspective.  Consumers from all areas with lived experience of the emergency care sector, as a patient, family member, or carer are encouraged to apply.

Meetings

Members will be appointed for a three-year term.

The schedule for meetings in 2019 is as follows:

            Thursday, 10 October, 2:00 – 4:00pm

            Thursday, 5 December, 2:00 – 4:00pm
