Care of Children with Autism in Victorian ED's Working Group

Safer Care Victoria

Care of Children with Autism in Victorian Emergency Departments

A half-day working group focusing on the provision of care of children with autism presenting to Victorian ED’s.

Purpose

SCV is running a single, half-day working group to inform proposed work to improve the provision of care to children with autism presenting to Victorian Emergency Departments.  The voice of consumers is essential to ensure that this work is best suited to the needs of this group.

Role of the Consumer

Around four consumers are required to work with clinicians and policy makers in small working groups on the day. Consumers should have lived experience of presenting to ED with a child on the autism spectrum.

Meetings

This is a single meeting on Wednesday, 23rd October from 12:00pm to 5:00pm in Melbourne City.

Remuneration

Consumers will be paid $225.00 for participation in the half-day working group.

To Apply

Expressions of interest should be sent to meagan.ward@safercare.vic.gov.au outlining your experience and interest in participating in this working group.
